Globe Alliance Company Eyes Saudi and GCC Expansion as Mega-Project Activity Grows

Dr. Hamad AlBalawi, CEO of Globe Alliance Company, outlines the Saudi company’s integrated approach to construction and project support, its focus on local content and technology, and its plans for further expansion.

Globe Alliance Company (GAC) is expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia as it seeks to support the Kingdom’s major development projects through a broad portfolio of construction and operational services.

Speaking on the sidelines of Shaping Mega Projects 2026 in Riyadh, Dr. Hamad AlBalawi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Globe Alliance Company (GAC), said the company is building on around a decade of operations as it expands across the Kingdom, with longer-term ambitions to establish a wider presence across the GCC.

AlBalawi, who described himself as both a businessman and physician, said he established the company around 10 years ago. GAC’s official website similarly states that the company has 10 years of industry experience.

An integrated approach to project support

AlBalawi explained that GAC’s activities are centred on construction and facility management, with the company supporting projects from infrastructure and civil works through to the services required for their day-to-day operation.

His comments highlighted GAC’s approach of bringing multiple requirements together so that clients do not have to source materials, accommodation, manpower, catering and other project-support services separately.

The company’s official portfolio supports this broader positioning. GAC lists services including construction, catering, camp and accommodation services, manpower, equipment rental, material supply, trading, maintenance, transportation and information technology.

For AlBalawi, the objective is to take care of supporting requirements that can otherwise consume clients’ time and resources, allowing them to remain focused on delivering their core projects.

Supporting Vision 2030 through local content

Local content is another important part of GAC’s strategy.

AlBalawi said the company supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by working with Saudi suppliers, employing Saudi talent and contributing to economic activity within the Kingdom.

He also emphasised the importance of creating an impact in the individual regions where GAC operates. As the company enters new locations, he said it seeks to recruit locally and source from suppliers within those areas, allowing project activity to contribute to the surrounding economy.

Technology to improve efficiency and accuracy

Technology is also becoming increasingly important to GAC’s operations.

According to AlBalawi, the company has undergone a technology transformation over the past three to four years, with the objective of using new solutions to reduce time, effort and cost while improving project accuracy.

GAC’s website separately identifies information technology as one of its service areas, including network management, cybersecurity, software development and technical support.

However, AlBalawi’s interview did not clearly identify the individual technologies being deployed within GAC’s construction and facility management operations, so these specific IT services should be treated as part of the company’s broader portfolio rather than technologies he personally cited during the interview.

Expanding across Saudi Arabia and the GCC

Looking ahead, AlBalawi said GAC is expanding its activities across Saudi Arabia and is already working in the northwest of the Kingdom.

He indicated that the company expects to expand its role in major projects over the coming months as it continues to strengthen its presence in the Saudi market.

The longer-term ambition extends beyond Saudi Arabia, with AlBalawi identifying the wider GCC as part of GAC’s future expansion plans.

As Saudi Arabia continues to advance major construction and infrastructure programmes, GAC is seeking to grow alongside that development by combining construction capabilities with the manpower, accommodation, materials, maintenance and operational services required to support project delivery.
