• New centre strengthens Huawei’s long-term commitment to talent development, engineering excellence, and national digital infrastructure in the Kingdom

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – January 29, 2026 – Huawei has inaugurated its first ICT Equipment Delivery Training Centre in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming the company’s commitment to develop the domestic talent pool and upskill the local workforce in support of the Kingdom’s digital transformation agenda.

The opening ceremony of the centre was held in the presence of representatives from the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA).

The training centre is designed to enhance the quality of Huawei’s engineering services across the Kingdom by delivering advanced, hands-on technical training for Huawei employees and partners. Training will cover core network and infrastructure domains including Telecommunications Engineering (TE), In-Building Solutions (IBS), Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), and Civil Work (CW).

The facility which serves as a “Hub for Technical Excellence”, will upskill Huawei employees and ecosystem partners in critical network technologies, ensuring the highest global delivery standards across more than 20,000 sites Huawei delivers annually in Saudi Arabia. Once fully operational, the centre will have the capacity to train more than 600 professional teams annually, strengthening Huawei’s engineering capabilities at scale.

Building on Huawei’s existing ICT Competitions and Academies, the facility provides practice-based training that enables graduates to transition confidently into operational engineering roles.

At the centre, Huawei experts will take talent through diverse simulated real-life scenarios and provide opportunities for both theoretical and practical, hands-on training. This approach directly supports Huawei’s large-scale operations in the Kingdom, helping to further enhance site delivery quality, operational consistency, and overall engineering excellence.

Strengthening national capabilities and localising expertise, Huawei will continue to contribute to the development of local ICT talent in Saudi Arabia, supporting the Kingdom’s vision for a competitive, future-proofed digital economy.
