DUBAI, UAE – 3 November,2025- The Intersec Awards 2026 has officially unveiled its highly anticipated shortlist of companies, products, and industry leaders set to compete for the security, safety, and fire protection sector’s most coveted accolades. Winners will be announced on 13 January 2026 during the prestigious Intersec Awards Gala Dinner at the Conrad Hotel Dubai.
Now in its fifth edition, the awards serve as a benchmark of excellence across the global industry, featuring 17 categories that reflect the sector’s diversification and adoption of cutting-edge technology and innovative leadership. The awards are held as part of the 27th edition of Intersec, the world’s leading trade fair for the industry, which runs from 12–14 January 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Celebrating Leadership and National Talent
“Each year, the Intersec Awards bring to light the people and innovations driving the evolution of our industry,” said Dishan Isaac, Show Director of Intersec at Messe Frankfurt Middle East. “The calibre of entries in 2026 has been exceptional, reflecting the rapid advances being made in security technology, fire prevention, emergency response, and workplace safety across the region.”
This year’s awards put a special focus on individual excellence and diversity:
- Rising Star Award for Emirati Talent: This category celebrates the next generation of UAE excellence. Finalists include Abdelaziz Mohamed (ADNEC Group), Khalid Mubarak (Dubai Municipality), and Ahmad Alfardan (Dubai World Trade Centre), showcasing the nation’s investment in world-class security professionals.
- Women Trailblazers in Security, Fire Safety and HSE: This award recognizes exceptional women driving transformation. Finalists include Hanan Almohammad (KIOSH Company), Sarah Adamson (SC-Ltd, UK Export Council), and Jazyah Aldossary (Saudi Aramco).
- Industry Leader of the Year: Honouring sustained visionary contributions, finalists include Emanuel Jech (WSP), Abdullah Alshemaly (ASIS International – Dhahran Chapter), and Leo Levit (ONVIF Steering Committee).
Innovation Across Fire, Safety, and Security
The shortlisted entries demonstrate groundbreaking advancements across all key disciplines:
- Fire and Safety: The Active Fire Protection category features innovations like Siemens Fire Digital Twin and NAFFCO’s Falcon 6 ARFF Vehicle. In Passive Protection, Jotun’s SteelMaster and TECFIRE’s ALUFIRE AS85 Door System are recognized for excellence in occupant well-being.
- Best Safety Protection Solution: Finalists include Grand Challenge AI’s VitAir Smart Helmet-Mask and VIKING Life-Saving Equipment’s Valkyrie Fire Suit for Women.
- Security and Cyber: Digital and physical innovation is strong, with Resemble AI’s Detect Platform and Gallagher Controller 7000 competing for Best Cybersecurity Solution. In Best Security Project, Dubai Police’s Lost Passport Certificate Blockchain System and Red Sea Global’s Desert Rock Perimeter Solution are noted for enhancing safety and mitigating risk.
- Team and Consultancy: Firms like WSP, Dulsco Group, and RAK Oil Services & Energy Co. are shortlisted for Best HSE Team, while WSP, AESG, and PwC are recognized in the Strategy in Consultancy categories for their contributions to regional resilience frameworks.
Finalists were selected through a rigorous judging process by a panel of 23 international experts, including senior leaders from Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, UL Solutions, and ASIS International.
