Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – In a unique show of corporate social responsibility, Dr. Hamoud bin Abdullah Al-Hodaib, Chairman of Hamoud Al-Hodaib Holding Company and Oud Real Estate Company, has launched a nationwide initiative to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day. This landmark program will teach 95 young Saudi men how to perform the traditional Saudi “Al-Ardha” dance.
The initiative has garnered widespread enthusiasm from young Saudis, as well as participants of all ages, including elders and families who are eager to learn the Al-Ardha as a cherished national symbol and a deeply rooted cultural heritage. The training will be overseen by specialized instructors, including Nasser Al-Awjan and other dance experts.
“At Hamoud Al-Hodaib Holding Company, we believe that celebrating National Day must be translated through initiatives that leave a positive impact on society and help instill a sense of belonging while preserving our cultural heritage,” stated Dr. Hamoud Al-Hodaib. “The idea to train young people in the Al-Ardha came as a gift to our nation and its youth. This initiative will enable them to master this authentic art form under the guidance of experts, moving beyond simple imitation to truly embed this tradition in the hearts of future generations.”
Dr. Al-Hodaib emphasized that the historic and economic achievements the Kingdom has made under Vision 2030 compel both individuals and institutions to support these successes with high-impact initiatives. He noted that this shows the private sector is a key partner in development and in safeguarding the national identity.
This initiative is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia. It highlights the passion of the Saudi people for preserving their cultural heritage and reinforces the leading role of businessmen in promoting corporate social responsibility. It also solidifies the enduring presence of the Al-Ardha as a national symbol in the memory of generations to come.
