Ray-Ban Meta Enters a New Era with Longer Battery Life, Upgraded Camera, and Fresh Colors

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – EssilorLuxottica and Meta have unveiled the next generation of the Ray-Ban Meta collection, the world’s best-selling AI glasses. The new collection features significant upgrades, including a longer battery life, an ultra-wide 12MP camera that now captures video in ultra HD, and three new seasonal colors, along with an exclusive limited-edition.

“Glasses have emerged as the fastest-growing category in wearable technology, and we’re proud to be leading the charge,” said Rocco Basilico, Chief Wearables Officer for EssilorLuxottica. “Ray-Ban Meta proved that when iconic design meets breakthrough AI technology, the result is a product the world will embrace emphatically. With Meta, our products will anchor a category that spans functions, technologies, brands and communities worldwide.”

Since their launch, the glasses have become a cultural phenomenon, seen everywhere from Paris Fashion Week to the Super Bowl. With millions of pairs sold, they have redefined eyewear, allowing users to capture photos and videos hands-free, stream music, and take calls. The latest generation, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2), raises the bar with:

  • Up to 2x Longer Battery Life: Enjoy up to 8 hours of use, with a rapid charge feature that provides 50% power in just 20 minutes.
  • Enhanced Camera: The new 12MP camera captures Ultra HD video with HDR and 60fps, delivering sharper, smoother, and more immersive content.
  • New Capture Modes: Film hands-free with new features like hyperlapse for cinematic time-lapses and slow motion for smooth video effects.
  • Upgraded Audio: A five-mic system and open-ear speakers offer immersive audio. A future software update will introduce Conversation Focus, which amplifies the voice of the person you’re speaking with by filtering out background noise.

The collection includes iconic shapes like the Wayfarer and the modern Skyler, all engineered for a slim, comfortable fit. Each style is also available with Transitions® lenses that adapt seamlessly to changing light conditions.

“This is not about gadgets—it is about making technology invisible, wearable, and desirable, in the way only Ray-Ban can,” said Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, President of Ray-Ban. “As we look ahead, we will continue to design not just eyewear, but the future of how people experience vision, style, and connection.”

To add even more personality to the collection, three new seasonal colors are now available: Wayfarer in Shiny Cosmic Blue, Skyler in Shiny Mystic Violet, and Headliner in Shiny Asteroid Grey. For those seeking exclusivity, the limited-edition Matte Transparent Wayfarer returns, now paired with Transitions® Gen S Ruby lenses and the full suite of Meta AI features.

The new Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 collection is available now in select countries and online. The limited-edition model starts at 2,440.00 AED.
