The 22nd edition of Automechanika Dubai will take place from 9–11 December 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre
Dubai, UAE: The UAE’s central role in driving sustainable mobility took center stage at the 23rd edition of the Automechanika Network event, which recently gathered leading industry policymakers, OEMs, suppliers, and innovators in Abu Dhabi. The invite-only session, organized by Automechanika Dubai, powered by Bridgestone MEA and co-sponsored by DP World, explored the theme ‘Shifting Gears – Navigating Tech, Sustainability & Transformation,’ focusing on how digitalization, electrification, and sustainability are transforming the automotive value chain.
The event opened with a compelling keynote from Anan Al Amri, Section Head – Alternative & Sustainability Mobility at Abu Dhabi Mobility. Titled “Accelerating the Future: How Sustainable Mobility is Reshaping the Automotive Aftermarket,” her address highlighted the industry’s evolution toward a sustainable future. “We are no longer talking about the aftermarket; we are in fact talking about the after future—a future where every component is designed with its second life in mind,” Al Amri stated, emphasizing that the aftermarket is now the journey, not just a service to sustain it.
Throughout the day, high-level discussions underscored the need for a connected ecosystem to enhance trust and efficiency. A panel on ‘The Connected Aftermarket’ explored how telematics and digital innovation are redefining the sector, with speakers noting that the current fragmented nature of the independent aftermarket challenges trust between car owners, repair shops, and suppliers. Separately, a session on E-Commerce Platforms examined digital sales channels, with experts concluding that while digital is the “North Star,” a “fidgital” (physical-digital) approach remains crucial in the B2B landscape.
Sustainability remained a key focus, with a session dedicated to the Circular Economy, discussing remanufacturing and recycling as essential strategies for greener operations. Furthermore, industry leaders addressed the critical challenges of Navigating a Future with EVs and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), stressing the necessity for new service models, advanced technician training, and infrastructure investment to support widespread adoption.
“The Automechanika Network provides the aftermarket community with a unique space for forward-looking dialogue,” said Tommy Le, Show Manager of Automechanika Dubai at Messe Frankfurt Middle East. “By broadening the conversation to include fresh perspectives from across the industry, these discussions offer valuable insights as we build towards Automechanika Dubai 2025.”
The discussions reinforced that the strong alignment between government vision, operational programs, and strategic investors in the UAE is a primary catalyst for the region’s shift toward sustainable transport.
The 22nd edition of Automechanika Dubai, the largest international automotive aftermarket trade exhibition in the Middle East and Africa, will return to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 9 to 11 December 2025. The show is set to welcome over 2,400 exhibitors from more than 60 countries across 20 halls.
